Ann Rye (born in Staple, Kent) appeared on Coronation Street in six roles: * A Hospital Sister on duty when Susan Barlow was rushed in with acute appendicitis in July 1970 (credited as "Anny Rye") * Derek Wilton's landlady Mrs. Bingley in December 1987 * Ruby Mottram, a helper at the Friends of Weatherfield Hospital Charity Shop during 1991 * Emiline Pendry in April 2001 * Joan Bannister who appeared in June 2003 as the wife of lecherous lothario Wally Bannister * Wanda Brinsley, the eccentrically-dressed pensioner friend of Blanche Hunt who appeared intermittently between July 2004 and January 2005.
