| - [Source] The Triton system was a star system located within the Mayagil sector of the Outer Rim Territories that contained the planet Triton.
- The Triton system was a lifeless star system in the Mid Rim. It contained Triton I, a volcanic planet, Triton II, a frozen rock, and Triton III, a gas giant. In 0 BBY, during the Galactic Civil War, rogue Imperial Navy Admiral Harkov had an experimental TIE production facility there, a space station called E-40. It was defended by a small fleet. After Darth Vader found out of Harkov's treachery, he dispatched Task Force Whirlwind under Grand Admiral Thrawn to eliminate it. Though Harkov's loyalists were flying advanced TIE/D Defenders and TIE/ad Avengers, the elite Black Eight Squadron defeated them. The E-40 facility was damaged, but was captured by Imperial Marines.
