| - The Sidereal Interregnum was a period in Al-Antidian history characterized by several wars of succession to the Alluvial Throne. The interregnum began after the murder of Divine Sovereign Protion XVII, who had no legitimate children to inherit the Alluvial Throne. However, Protion had sired several illegitimate sons and daughters, many wanting to take the throne for themselves. With the former capital city abandoned and each claimant using their own strongholds as their respective capitals, the pretenders began to pit their own allies against that of their siblings. These conflicts were originally restricted to Al-Antidia, but it did not take long before the sidereal estates became involved. The neutrality of the Temporal Mainframe also contributed to the length of the interregnum, as none of the pretenders could access its power. The interregnum lasted for a total of four millennia, making it one of the most extensive conflicts in Al-Antidian history. The interregnum ended when the widow of Protion XVII, who was a distant, yet direct descendant of Amilanius, orchestrated the deaths of each of the pretenders and assumed the throne herself, taking the regnal name of Natla.
