Jerome Paul "Boomer" Groom (August 15, 1929 – February 29, 2008) was a professional American football defensive tackle/linebacker/center in the National Football League. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. He went to one Pro Bowl during his 5-year career with the Chicago Cardinals. He played college football at Notre Dame, where he was an All-American.
