It is later said on August 9, 2016 in a Bloody Disgusting article that it might film in the next six months and has landed Brett Eisner as director. According to Producer Brad Fuller, he says the movie will be an origin story and it will be the on screen debut of Elias Voorhees. On February 7th, 2017 the movie was cancelled after the poor box office performance of "Rings."[1]
