Henry Lawrence Cripps (8 January 1846 - 11 November 1915) was a solicitor and briefly a local politician. Born in Chelsea, he was the eldest son of Henry William Cripps, QC, Chancellor of the Diocese of Oxford. In 1871 he was admitted a solicitor and from 1877 worked for the Metropolitan Board of Works until its replacement by the London County Council in 1889 until his retirement. Municipal Reform Party co-opted to fill a London County Council Alderman vacancy in March 1911 but resigned February 1913.
