| - "Schism" is the twenty-third and final episode of the fourth season of Arrow, and the ninety-second episode overall. It aired on May 25, 2016.
- "Schism" is a single by Tool, being featured on their 2001 album "Lateralus" and directly follows Parabola in the Tool setlist of Guitar Hero: World Tour. The guitar and bass parts remain similar for the majority of the song, and the bass also uses the purple sliding technique during the instrumental section of the bridge, where the pace of the song slows considerably. Towards the end, a build-up occurs until you reach the last 30 seconds on all instrument tracks (minus vocals), which is arguably the hardest section of the song, at least to FC. (Also, while playing Schism, Parabola, and Vicarious, or if you choose to play one of those songs on Quickplay Mode, the Tool stage is always displayed.)

- Over 2,000 years prior to the events of the story, humans developed the spyrix technology, which negatively affected the world, causing spirits, and in extent, the world, to slowly decay. Maxwell decided to gather his disciples and create a new land, free of spyrix, where humans could coexist peacefully with spirits. This new land was called "Rieze Maxia". Twenty years prior to the events of Tales of Xillia, an Elympion vessel, E.S.S. Zenethra, arrived to Rieze Maxia through a hole. Detecting this activity, Maxwell created two entities: the Great Spirit Muzét, sending her to Elympios with the order to execute anyone who knows about the schism, and a human woman whom he names Milla Maxwell, infusing her with a false identity as a means of drawing out the arrival Elympions and killing them.
- The Schism is a source of power native to Teragard, the original home of humanity, that Robert the Strong described as "the heart of Teragard". Because Teragard has no runes, all energy that they use comes from the Schism. The Schism is controlled and protected by the seven Magisters of Teragard, who constitute the government. Robert, fascinated by the object, broke in to see it and described it as a black hole with red lightning surrounding it. Robert felt that the schism was calling out to him and when he stepped into it, he found himself transported to Gielinor.

- The Schism is a tall, pale, gangly, humanoid monster in Silent Hill: Homecoming. Alex Shepherd first encounters them in the Shepherd's Glen Police Station. Schisms also appear in the spin-off game, Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
