Flash Voting is a term used in Mafia to describe near end-of-day votes, typically so late in the day that nobody has a chance to respond. It is a common endgame strategy typically (but not always) used by the baddies to put them in a position to achieve their WINCON either that day or the following night. An example of a non-traditional flash vote which won the 2010 Brando for Most Clever Mafia Play was performed by Glycereine in Halloween Mafia II, which took into account the rules for tied votes.
