Sir James Boyton 1855-16 May 1926 was an estate agent and Conservative Party politician. In 1878 he joined his family firm of Elliott, Son and Boyton. He was a Fellow of the Surveyors’ Institution and of the Auctioneers’ and Estate Agents’ Institute. He was the President of the latter institute in 1905-06. From 1907-10 he was Municipal Reform Party member of the London County Council representing Marylebone East. From 1910-18 he was member of parliament for Marylebone East. He was knighted in 1918.
