  • Question: Will the featured article displayed on the mainpage change depending on which week it is automatically, or is that something that has to be changed manually by one of us? --Majushi 20:32, 20 November 2006 (UTC) That, my friend, is automatic. The line "{{L5R:Featured article for {{CURRENTYEAR}}, week {{CURRENTWEEK}}}}" inputs the current year and week number from the server, and then tries to find the requested template (ie, {{[[L5R:Featured article for 2018, week ]]}} ). It will update automatically each week, as long as the featured article templates are named in the proper format. On a semi-related note, be aware that the "templates" are not in the Template namespace, so you can't call them just with, say, {{[[Template:Featured article for 2018, week |Featured article for 2018, week ]]}}. Technically, they're more of a wiki-admin-centric mini-article, but they'll only be used as includes, so I'll just stick with calling them templates. 20:48, 20 November 2006 (UTC) It is very cool. Just to let you know tho, on the mainpage now i can still see the Sekawa featured article, but when i look at your WestonWyse/Main Page i see Toturi's featured article. If they're using the same code am i supposed to be able to see two different ones? --Majushi 01:03, 21 November 2006 (UTC) No, you shouldn't. I would guess that it's a caching issue with your browser, because I see Toturi on both pages. You can purge your cache by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the Refresh/Reload button in your browser. Try that and let me know what happens. 03:00, 21 November 2006 (UTC) Yep, it's all good now... --Majushi 09:59, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
