Following research into the improvement of projectile-based weapons, Telian scientists devised a new type of beam-based weapon. By using a small-scale space-time transition coil, it is possible to project a beam of time-phased matter, with a behavior similar to light energy-based weapons, but with more penetrative ability, due to the phased nature of the beam. Currently, this technology has been used to create weapons in several size classes, from handheld and shoulder-fired weapons, to spacecraft-mounted cannon formats.
