HMS Grampus was a Royal North American Navy cutter based in Port Clements on the Queen Charlotte Islands. She was a miniature corvette, about 70 feet long with a two-pounder for a deck gun. Her Captain was Lt. Cmdr. Edward Woodbridge. In 1995 Colonel Thomas Bushell, along with two squads of Royal Marines, sailed on the Grampus to five miles north of Buckley Bay in order to apprehend four suspected Sons of Liberty in the abandoned village. Afterwards, the Grampus sailed directly to the village to pick up the party and transport them back to Port Clements.
