This part of the world - even bigger than OTL's Soviet Union - also includes some history of Eastern Europe not inhabited by Russians. But since the histories of these areas are intertwisted very much (also due to the common Slavic origin and/or Orthodox Christian religion), I've put them together in one world region. The history of the Russian lands changed very much, since the conquests of the Mongols never took place. Especially, Russia stayed divided for much longer, and the different parts developed very differently, esp. culturally.
