Lukout had presumably been living on the Skyrock Mountains all her life, using the elevated outcrop to study space. At some point, the area became invaded by dinosaur ghosts from Dinotown. Witnessing the philosophers and poets fleeing, the brave Lukout decided to send for help, informing builders on their way to Monster World that there was trouble. When news reached her that the "Wonder Boy" was on his way, Lukout ventured out on her giant bird and picked him up from the edge of Monster World. She then returned with him to the Light Tower and showed him the staircase where dinosaurs came to attack. When a fight broke out between Shion and one of those dinosaurs, Lukout was forced to rescue a falling Shion by jumping after him and pulling out a magic handkerchief that allowed them to fly i

When a fight broke out between Shion and one of those dinosaurs, Lukout was forced to rescue a falling Shion by jumping after him and pulling out a magic handkerchief that allowed them to fly into Ghost World. The cosmologist was happy to see that poet Wordsmith had survived being taken away by a quetzacoatlus, but not so relieved to hear one of his terrible poems. The reunion was short-lived with the trio being attacked by a dinosaur guard. Lukout mocked the "terrifying" threat, but was enraged when the dinosaur called her old. Before she could do anything about it, the dinosaur used magic to turn her into a statue. Her participation in the adventure was pretty limited from them on, with Shion and Wordsmith taking turns to drag her along on top of a discarded chest of armour. She didn't revive until Wordsmith used a Stone to Flesh wand on her. Unfortunately, the sudden nature of her revival confused her and woke up a sleeping Dinosaur King. Still disorientated, Lukout still proved useless, but managed to get the King to take them to the staircase. When climbing, she informed the others that the King had turned angry and made it to the top before Shion destroyed the stairs. Lukout was happy to have succeded, but again failed to enjoy Wordsmith's awful ditty.
