| Synopsis
| - This story provides the background of the House of Secrets, who built it and its history, and leads into the next story which talks about Abel's taking possession of it.
- Cain invites Abel to come to the House of Mystery sometime and not to take his aggression personally because "accidents happen."
- A realty agent helps Abel move into the House of Secrets where Abel bumps into Cain. When Cain asks Abel who he is talking to, Abel indicates the realty agent who dissipates into a spirit which merges into the House of Secrets. Cain challenges Abel not to be a coward so Abel accepts and rises to the occasion with the following story.
- Abel tells Cain a story about a photographer who takes blackmail photos being sent out to photograph the House of Secrets, but the house swallows him up, leaving only a photograph of the man's shocked expression as the only evidence he was ever inside.

| - * First appearance of Abel. Abel acts as a storyteller and host of the series, as well as the caretaker of the House of Secrets. Abel's brother, Cain, fulfills a similar function at the House of Mystery. Cain and Abel are in fact the actual sons of Adam and Eve as accounted for in the Book of Genesis. Abel will continue to act as host to the series for the remainder of the title's run.
