| Synopsis
| - A T.V. repairman visits a doctor and contemplates about how most doctors treat you like an object, poking and prodding away to fix you. He only walks away content when they take a personal interest in him, like this doctor did today. Later, he is sent to an address to fix a T.V., as it has no picture. He is astounded to find miniature versions of the actors and performers that should be on T.V. performing in the back of the T.V., outside of the picture tube! After trying everything he can think of, a miniature Joan Talley says to change to Channel Three, and when he does, the picture comes back. Joan Talley is performing on Channel Three, and he figures he wouldn't have known that by any other source besides this miniature actress. Minature Joan Talley then tells Bob that he doesn't like it when doctors treat him like objects, so he shouldn't treat the T.V. like an object either! He resolved from that day forward to pay more attention to the programs on the T.V. rather than just the mechanics of the device.
- Victims of a man's practical jokes get together with the idea of dressing up as Martians to kidnap the prankster, but unknown to them, he is outside the window listening to their plans. When horrible alien creatures later show up, the joker calmly allows himself to be blindfolded and taken to their spaceship. He makes causal banter along the way and thinks they must be disappointed their gag did not work. The creatures reply that he is not reacting the way they thought their first capture for their zoo would respond. When the blindfold is removed, and Mars is rapidly approaching through the viewscreen of the spaceship, the distraught joker utters "All I've got to say is that this is taking a joke too far!"
- An alien child accidentally presses the escape pod button of his parent's spacecraft while in the vicinity of Earth and is thrown from the wreckage and rendered unconscious in an African jungle. An American circus owner hears of native reports of a crashed ship, goes to investigate, and discovers the creature whom he mistakenly assumes to be dead. He forgets about displaying the monstrous being in his circus and instead delivers him to a museum whereupon he regains consciousness. The startled creature wanders New York city for awhile, until hounded by the military and their tear gas shells, climbs up the side of the UN building. They shoot him with a tranquilizer dart which makes him fall into the river. His parents eventually eventually arrive and recover their child. They state "It is fortunate he is unharmed. Fortunate...FOR YOU." and leave Earth.
- Upon receiving the Outstanding Scientific Achievement of the Year award, Henry Fletcher confides in the janitor, Tom Smith, of his next theory: that there is a higher power of some sort guiding the human race to its greatest achievements. Tom tells Henry that he thinks too much and needs a rest, because that theory is crazy. However, when Henry leaves, Tom transforms to his real form and leaves Earth because his task is complete: Henry is now capable of taking charge of his own destiny.
