Count Abulurd III Harkonnen was the father of Iosif Harkonnen. In 601 AG he was stripped of his title when he refused to support the Imperial aspirations of Regent Harmon II al- Qair. He regained it two years later when Audrii I seized the throne, but was disgraced a second time when his son, was discovered in bed with the emperor's son. The Harkonnens were demoted to their lesser title of Lords Tupelo, and were required to pay a large fine into the Imperial treasury.
