Basuke (BASUKE, sometimes also written in some some sources in katakana, バスケ), the Japanese transcription for the English word basketball, is a is a two-part 90-page long short manga created by Yoichi Takahashi focused on the sport from which it borrows its name. The comic was first published in the shonen magazine Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha in issues #5 and #6 of 1987, cover dates #1987-01-15 and #1987-01-22. Basuke was later compiled in the tankobon Boku wa Misaki Taro in 1987. As this volume was published in Italy in 2004 and in France in 2005, Basuke was also published in those regions.
