| - The movie opens with gory and bloody images that took place in the 6th century B.C. After many scenes displaying people dying, churches burning and scences with demons and other evil things attacking the palce, Lilith is shown walking down a kind of palace, when she manages to enter the place, she is ambushed by the warriors of the kingdom, but she easily defeats them, when she is about to take some kind of scepter, she is stoped by a magician, Lilith tells him to get out of the way if he wants to see the light of the day once more, but the magician refuses to and starts to conjure some kind of ritual that traps Lilith in a sarcophagus, the king congratulates the magician, but he tells the king that if someone brokes the seal that the sarcophagus has on it, Lilith will be unleashed once more, then the king orders the guards to take the artefact to another place, they bury it down in a church. Later in present days, Edward Carnby (Oliver Martinez) is shown having a nightmare during his return trip back to New York, he wakes up and he is asked by an old man if he was ok, Carnby answers with a yes saying that it was just a recuring nightmare he's been having later this day and that he thinks it is something normal. Then when his plane arrives he is received by Aline Cedrac (Paige Lauren Billiot), Edward tells Aline about his constant nightmare and thathe also thinks that this dream is trying to tell him something, something bad and evil, Aline tells him to calm down and asks him if he found what they were looking for, Carnby replies saying yes but that someone or something was following him, they are suddenly attacked by some kind of demon that had its face on its torso and it was covered by its own ribs, then the creature launches and attacks Edward, he tells Aline to run and also tells her to take the artefact away from the creature, the creature then shows its mouth and tries to bite Edward, but he manages to get free from the creature, as he is running down more creatures like the one who attacked him earlier start to appear in the darkness, with a lighter and a beer bottle he is able to form a molotov rocket, he then throws the creatures with it, harming them he is able to run and reunite with Aline. The next scene shows Maddie (Monica Keena) and Angela Franklin (Shannon Elizabeth) driving on a highway and laughing about jokes, Maddie tells Angela that she will sleep with her if she does not try to kill her, suddenly Angela sees a creature in the middle of the highway, she tells Maddie to take the shotgun, Maddie refuses at first but Angela tells her once more to take it, Maddie agrees and takes it, Angela then turns into a demon and both of them fight the creature, when they manages to kill them Angela says that "It was to easy", Maddie then shouts telling her to crouch down, when Angela turns back she sees more creatures coming out of the death one, they get again in the car and drive away. Back in USA, BSAA agents Chris Redfield (Matthew Bomer) and Jill Valentine (Julia Voth) are trying to convince the judge to let Leon (Ian Somerhalder) free, the judge angrily replies telling both Chris and Jill that they know what he did the last year and that they were two of the few survivors, Chris also replies saying that it wasn't his fault and that he (Leon) did not known what he was doing, after a long discussion Chris asks the judge if they can see their partner for one last time before his execution, the judge orders two policemen to carry Chris and Jill to Leon's cell, they arrive to a dark and lonely cell, Chris asks for Leon, and he replies telling them to go away, Jill tells Leon that what happened over Wallachia wasn't his fault, Leon angrily replies saying that the three of them known what happened over there and that he is guilty for the dead of all those agents, including Judy (later it is told that Judy was Leon's best friend in the USA Secret Agency) and also tells them that its to late for him and that he will be executed tomorrow, Chris and Jill then go away but Chris tells Leon that he will do anything to take him out of there at any coast. Later that night, Leon is sleeping when suddenly the shadow of a young woman appears in his cell, the guard tells the young woman to go out of that cell, then she goes out of the cell and seduces the guard taking his soul away, then she goes out to Leon and kisses him, he quickly wakes up but sees nothing, as the night passes by it is revealed that before Edward arrived to the city, before Anegla and Maddie drove away and before Chris and Jill came to see Leon, Alex (Kim Director), Amber (Ona Grauer) and Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens), where on a ship with a paranormal researcher named Geroge, they found the sarcofaous where Lilith was captured long time ago, the three girls told the man not to open the artefact, but because of his avarice, he opens it, the three girls ran to the lifeboat, Amber tells them to hide, then she sees Lilith looking at the death body of Geroge, they all start to row into the city, when they arrive they meet with Agent York (Hayden Christensen) and Emily Wyatt (Naomi Watts), York asks the girls if they are fine, they reply that they were actually scaping from someone that attacked an agent in a ship, Agent York tells Emily to take the girls into the house, then he takes out his cellphone and calls Edward telling him that "She has beeing unleashed again", Edward tells Aline to take the lanternt and the guns, Aline does it, then the other scene shows the BSAA headquarters, when the alarm sounds, Chris and Jill run to a truck and drive away, then in the prision where Leon was arrested, a guard hears some strange noises and decides to go and see what was doing those sounds, when he arrives at the place, he is petrified with horror, then it is shown one of the strange creatures (the same creatures that attacked some characters at the beggining of the film) devouring another guard, the other guard tries not to shout, but accidentaly he hits a table near and a glass is broken into the ground, this caughs the attention of the creature who attacks the guard, then the monster introduces some kind of strange liquid into both of the guards mouths and both of them are turned into zombies (Zømbies as in the game), then the alarms prision sounds and the rest of the police and guards try to contain the infection, Leon wakes up because he was having a nightmare (the same dream Edward had), and hears everything that was happening, he brokes the door and takes a gun he found, helping the rest of the people, he manages to get them out of there joking and saying that his execution will have to be other day, Chris and Jill arrive to the prission where the outbreak occured and they found Leon, Jill runs and hugs him, Chris asks him why did he did it, Leon replies saying that it doesn't matter if he was now a monster that this doesn't mean that he could not help people. Edward and Aline meet with York, Wyatt and the other three girls, Edward tells York that an outbreak occured down the prission, when they arrive there they meet with the other characters and they start to talk about what was going on, after the whole talking they decide to team up and stop Lilith's plans, suddenly Maddie and Angela arrive, Angela asks if she and Maddie can join the "party", Chris replies saying that more people they join better they are, Edward tells all to come to his secret place to see what they could do. The characters arrive to Edward's secret place, the news on the T.V. display that the whole city was getting attacked by some unstopable force and that don't even the army could stop them. Then the scenes show BSAA agents and also Beuro 313 agents are trying to stop the monsters, then back in the house Grace (Alyson Hannigan) appears and tells Edward that "they are here", Edward tells all the characters to prepare, suddenly the lights turn off and Zømbies and Des-Generators (the strange creatures) appear in the house, the characters try to fight with all of them but more and more appeared, Edward tells Aline and Grace to take all the important things out, that he was burning down the place, as the place burns down Chris and also Heather notice that the weapon that damages and kills the monsters are fire and light. During the way Edward explains to all that this creatures had exist for centuries and that they fear light because they have been trapped down on earth for a long time, Leon then starts to feel dizzy and Angela asks him if he was allright, he replies saying that he was ok but he needed to "feed", Chris and Jill help Leon to walk. The other scene shows Lilith in a cave doing some kind of ritual or orgy of blood, Zømbies, Bulks, Des-Generators, Vampyrs and many other creatures are shown dancing and doing the same as Lilith, the she tells them to stop and tells them that this was the day when they were going to rise and take over the earth, but that she needed some more help, then she stands up and walks down the cave just to find some skelleton, she whispers something in a death lenguage and the skelleton wakes and stands up, then rotten flesh and wings spreed down the creature, Lilith welcomes him reveling to be some kind of death and exiled Angel, the creature agrees to fight with Lilith saying that he will always be there to defend and to protect her. As the night goes on the characters are in the BSAA truck that Chris and Jill took, Alex tells Edward that she knew about this, that she had read about what was going on before, Edward agrees and tells Alex to say everything she knew, then she starts to tell him about the magician who trapped Lilith under the seal and that the only way to stop her was to recolect all the broken seal pieces, but she also says that it was not going to be easy, that also Lilith has her protector the "Angel of Death" a exiled angel that was send straight to the realm of hell, Edward asks Alex if it was a way to stop him, Alex replies with a yes and tells him that the only way to stop the protector was to hit him with an special dagger, but she also tells him that this dagger got lost in the woods of Wallachia, then Leon stands up and tells them that if they are going to that place he preffers to stay in the city and to fight alone, Chris tells Leon to calm down and after this Leon shouts replying that Chris and Jill knew what happened over there, that Wallachia was the place where Leon was turned into a vampire, the other characters keep silence and Leon angrily replies that if they don't want one of the same kind as the enemies it was better for him to go alone and survive, Edward tells him that it doesn't matters if he was a monster, he tells him that his help was indispensable for the team, he calms down and goes straight to sit, Maddie then looks at Angela and makes an strange gesture with her face, Angela smiles and goes straight to Leon, she tells Leon that he is not the only one with strange powers and tells him that if that made him feel better they can stick together if he wanted to, Leon replies saying that it will be good, Angela smiles at him and returns with Maddie, she then tells Angela that she noticed Angela's feelings for Leon, Angela laughs and tells Maddie to stop joking. They arrive to the airport where a Beuro 313 plane was waiting for them, they are then ambushed by an army of Des-Generators, the Beuro 313 agents and the characters start to fight with the army, as more and more creatures appear Leon tells all of them to get into the plane, all of them including Leon and some agents get into the vehicle and fly away to Wallachia's woods, Alex tells them that the dagger was hidden in some kind of tomb, Leon aks her how and why did the dagger get hidden ot trapped in a tomb, Alex replies saying "Mysteries are all over the world Mr. Kennedy" then she winks at him and starts to walk. After a long walk they finally find the tomb, Aline notices that the only way to enter the place was by decipher the message written on the walls and she tells the group to back her down if something appeared, she quickly manages to open the door, Chris tells Leon, Maddie and Angela to stay down, Leon replies saying that he commited a mistake before and that he will not do it again, then Chris shakes his head and enters the place. Entering the tomb Edward asks Alex where was the dagger, she replies saying that it was hidden down the "Wizards Tomb", Amber then shouts to the group saying that she alongside Heather found the sarcophagous, Edward notices again that it is protected by some seals in the same lenguage that the acces was, Aline then deciphers the codes and they are abble to open the sarcophagous, they take the dagger but they also active a secret and hidden trap, then they scape. Back outside the place, Maddie smiles and tells Angela to go and ask Leon out, Angela replies saying that she is to shy for doing it, Maddie then stands up and goes to talk with Leon, he was looking to the rest of the wood, when Maddie arrives she asks Leon why was so "cold" and so "disinteresed" in all of this, he then turns back replying that he was just affraid on losing other partner, he tells Maddie what happen over there a year ago, gory and bloody scenes start to display again, showing BSAA and USA agents death, and Leon beign killing them, then it shows how Judy is suposedly "killed" (althought it is suspected that she just got lost), Maddie feels bad for Leon but he says that he can't do anything now, then the rest of the group arrive and tells the other three that they have the dagger and that they need to go out, then they are suddenly ambushed by another army, Amber says that how in the name of god they arrive so fast, Edward tells her that that question will be answered later that right now they have to run, the group goes straight to the vehicle and fly away, then Lilith appears in a mountain and smiles. The group arrives back to the city just to be tracked down by Lilith's Angel of Death, the plane crashes in another forest, where they are again ambushed by a Zøombie and Des-Renenerator's army, then a bengal is thrown confussing the monsters, the group turn their heads and it is revealed that Billy Coen (Jason Behr) and The Raincoat Killer (Ray Park) throw that bengal, after a long talk Coen and The Killer accept to work with the team, even thought York and Wyatt where there. Then as time passes by cataclysms and tremors appear in the city, revealing to be the fissures, the fissures start to bring more and more creatures, the group then sees civils left in some parts of the city and they split up into two teams, Edward's team conformed by Aline, Chris, Billy, Emily, Grace and The Raincoat Killer and Jill's team conformed by Leon, Amber, Alex, Heather, Maddie, Angela and Agent York, the teams agree to meet again in the woods and their mission was to rescue as more civilians they could, then after a lot of fights they manage to rescue the civilians. Then Lilith appears bringing more and more creatures, the group fights them, during a fight Angela gets harmed and Leon angrily goes straight to fight Lilith, the rest of the group try to stop him, but he manages to go and fight Lilith, but he was no match for her and Lilith is able to take one part of his soul again, he then goes on to help Angela, Edward is shown fighting alongside Emily against the Death Angel, and after a long battle Edward is able to stabb him with the dagger, Lilith's protection then starts to go down and she is "killed", but then she starts to mutate in a serpentine-spider looking creature, Alex remembered that they needed to find the pieces of the seal, and sees that eventually they were inside the Death Angel all the time so quickly she goes on to the death body of Lilith's protector and is able to reconstruct the seal again, Lilith is then killed one more time by an explotion caused by a falling helicopter of the BSAA and Alex is able to lock her down in the coffin once more. Finally beating Lilith, Edward thanks the whole group and tells them that if anytime someone neeed him he will be at their service, Maddie then persuades Angela to ask Leon out, but when she is about to ask him Leon replies with a yes, Angela surprised asks how did he knew it, Leon laughs and says that he knew it all the time by the way Angela acted when she was with him. The last scene shows the group going on their own ways. After the credits end a scene is displayed showing 5 miners in a cave and one of them finds out some kind of blue shining rock, then when they take it, a glowing red eye is reflected in the stone.
