Poison Mites are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. They are small, brown beetles that come in swarms, much like cockroaches or locusts. They can be found in or near quicksand pits in the Arbiter's Grounds. While not capable of causing damage, they still leap onto Link and slow him down in a manner similar to that of Morths in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Though only a nuisance on solid ground, this extra weight can prove deadly if Link ends up in quicksand.

If caught in a swarm, Link can shed the beetles by rolling, using the Spin Attack, or attacking with the Spinner. Additionally, Poison Mites strongly dislike bright light, making the Lantern effective in keeping them away.
