Being the oldest has it good points and it's bad points. The good is that you get to be bigger than your sister and bully her when it's the most fun. Unfortunately it means you have to look out for her too. Not that I mind, especially after Mom and Dad died. She's all the family I have left. I guess that's why I quit the Security Force after the accident. I wasn't about to let her quit school and miss out on her chance to be exactly what she wanted to be. Even if it meant me missing out on mine. It's worth it though. Kalira is brilliant and she deserved a chance to do some good in this Deity forsaken Galaxy.

When I was 24 I left the Sienar Security Force because I couldn't pay for her schooling on my salary. I joined up with some 'traders' who needed some muscle on a job. Turned out they were smugglers. The pay was too good to pass up. I got the chance to use some of the piloting skills I learned from Dad and some of the security stuff I wasn't supposed to learn from Mom. it was dangerous, but the guys were pretty fair about my cut and it paid for Lira's school. Not by much, but it was enough. I did that for 6 years. Just long enough to get her through her exams and out of the academy. Now, I'm headed to find her and we are going to take this galaxy on together. We'll see how things go.
