  • Gamma Squad was a Clone Commando squad led by Commander Kronon (CC-300) during the Clone Wars. The other three members were Sergeant Rennoc (CC-301), Colonel Ret (CC-302) and Private Etan (CC-303). On a mission to Ilum, they ran into Jedi Master Plo Koon, who took an instant liking to the squad. After Koon departed for Cato Nemoidia, Gamma was dispatched to the planet Ryloth. When word of Koon's assassination reached their ears, they were furious and left immediately for Cato Nemoidia, rejecting their current task. Upon arrival, they went to an information center disguised as tourists. They asked the attendant several questions, leading to their discovering of Order 66 being executed. Being barraged by these questions, the attendant became suspicious and tried to alert Imperial officials. Gamma eliminated her before she alerted security, and rushed away to the crash site, which was a clone assembly site. When they arrived at the crash site, they shed their disguises so they could blend in better with the 141 troopers that were killed from the chain reaction the crash started. They found the wreckage of Koon's Delta-7 starfighter, but found no body, convincing them he had become one with the force. They recovered his lightsaber and Kronon would later receive lightsaber training from none other than Jedi Leia Organa Solo, for his friends remembrance. After the war, Gamma joined Kal Skirata's clone resistance fighters and would later join the Alliance to Restore the Republic as the lead commando squad.
