  • V.I.P was a Hungarian boy band from Budapest that was active from 1997 to 2001. It was comprised 4 members, Alex Józsa, Gergő Rácz, Imre Rakonczai, and Viktor Rakonczai. After going through the national finals, the quartet went on to the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 in Dublin, with the song "Miért kell, hogy elmenj?", where they scored a modest 12th place with just 39 points, tying with Greece with Horepse by Marianna Zorba. This song might have been the only entry of V.I.P; However, its members still had a grip on Eurovision. Rácz went on to represent and compose the entry for Hungary again in 2008 as part of Fool Moon alongside Viktor Rakonczai (who is not part of Fool Moon) for Czésy with Candlelight, staying in the semi-final in 19th place and only 6 points. The two tried again in 2011
