  • This is a Game Mode for Super Smash Bros. Urban. Smash Run returns in Super Smash Bros. Urban, Still holding true to the 3DS version of the mode and expanding the mode with new Labyrinths, Mechanics, Enemies, and new variations of Smash Run itself. Rules are pretty complex in terms of how the mode works. You have 5 minutes to defeat as many enemies as you can while collecting Stat Boosts to improve said character's stats. After 5 minutes are up, Each player's stats are shown to compare how well you did in that section of this mode. After that, players then duke it out in the final battle that is chosen randomly. Each Battle Type has different conditions that need to be met. For the first time, you can choose between Basic Smash, Hyper Smash Run, and Smash Assault. Basic Smash Run has 4 players duke it out in the original format. Hyper Smash Run has not 4, not 8, but 12 players in largely massive Labyrinths while Allowing 2 sets of fighters to be able to engage in combat and steal other players Stats by Knocking them off screen when they are in Lock-Down. Lastly, Smash Assault, A Smash Run Variant which pits 2 Teams of 4 (that are chosen at random) and one player who spawns a Flag in any part of the Center High, Mid, and Low section of the labyrinth. Once the flag has been set. both teams spawn on Opposite Sides of the Map and each team works their way through the maze to get to the flag, they also have to be very careful as the Player who spawned the flag has to prevent both teams from getting to the flag and capturing it by spawning Enemies, Activating Events, and Hindering each team by placing a Effect of a Player on each team for a short time, each having a timed cooldown upon each use. Team members on both sides can also hinder the Player who is trying to protect the flag by finding items that spawn and that are unique to this mode. Smash Assault is a Timed and Score based Mode and has no Final Battle unlike the previous Smash Run Variants. To win in Smash Assault as one of the four team members on either side, you and your allies must capture 5 Flags before the other team does or before time runs out. to win as the Flag Guardian. You must prevent the both teams from capturing 5 flags until time runs out. Any way you play it, You will know how fun these modes are!
