The Santa catarina's guinea pig or Moleques do Sul cavy (Cavia intermedia), is a species of guinea pig found in Brazil on the small island of Moleques do Sul in the state of Santa Catarina. The island has a surface area of only 10.5 ha; the guinea pig's geographical distribution of only 4 ha is one of the world's smallest for a mammal.
