- The Vohrsoth are the products of a long dead civilization ("the Ancient Ones") which may have originated outside the Milky Way Galaxy. The goal of their creation is not known, but they eventually developed a desire for complete domination of the galaxy, by constantly improving themselves through adding the DNA of other species into their genetic code. Within the graveyard, there was a Borg cube (that was infested by Species 8472), a Malon waste barge, an Etherian sleeper ship, a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, a Hirogen hunting ship, a Terran Empire warship and the starship USS Voyager.

They sought to gain dominance over the galaxy through improving themselves by adding the DNA of other species to themselves. The Vohrsoth inhabited a space station known as "The Forge". To gain samples of other species the Vohrsoth launched probes that would engage any starship they met. If the starship was able to destroy the probe it would trigger a trap, which would transport the vessel to the station where it would be trapped by the dampening field so its crew could be 'harvested'.

| - Using a terrifying space-station known only as the Forge it gathered thousands of vessels from innumerable species into a section of uncharted space where it released Harvester ships to literally tear the vessels apart, killing untold millions in the process and forcing the survivors to live in fear of not just the Harvester ships but also piratical raids by a desperate faction known as the Scavengers, who were forced to pillage other vessels to survive in the death-trap The Vohrsoth had also travelled across the Galaxy and abducted countless life-forms, dissecting and killing them so as to extract their DNA to create a "Reaver" species - designed to be the ultimate Warrior Race the Vohrsoth's ultimate plan was to mass produce its genetic monstrosities and wipe out all other life-forms in the Galaxy. Despite the extreme aggression shown by the Vohrsoth the Elite Force did comment that its original creators may not of designed it to be a tool of war, yet these concerns were shrugged off by the Vohrsoth who became obsessed with launching a new "Seed" to create a second Forge and expand its influence. However when the Vohrsoth failed to annex Voyager it was ultimately exposed and defeated with the aid of the Etherians, a race it had long tormented - with the death of the Vohrsoth Voyager was able to destroy the Forge and free not only herself but many other species that were stranded in the area of space.

The Forge projected a dampening field that drained the energy of nearby starships, and thereby prevented any warp travel. Ships would be tricked into entering this graveyard by launching a probe that would attack traveling starships. If the starship could not defend itself, the probe would rip the ship apart and transport the raw materials back to the Forge. If, instead, the starship destroyed the probe then the probe's destruction would unleash an energy wave that would transport the victor ship into the graveyard. These ships, which were crippled by the dampening field in the graveyard, would then be incapable of resisting an attack from the Vohrsoth Harvesters who would kill all the crew and 'harvest' the genetic material for use. This genetic material would then be taken back to the Forge where it was mixed into creating perfect Vohrsoth warriors. Within the graveyard, there was a Borg cube (that was infested by Species 8472), a Malon waste barge, an Etherian sleeper ship, a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, a Hirogen hunting ship, a Terran Empire warship and the starship USS Voyager. This would have continued until the Vohrsoth leader was confident that his warriors were perfect, after which he would have unleashed his forces to conquer the galaxy. This plan failed due to the intervention of the Hazard Team from the USS Voyager, who managed to infiltrate the Forge and destroy it both it and the leader of the Vohrsoth. Before its death, the Vohrsoth leader attempted to launch a 'seed' that would have turned into a new Forge to continue its work, but it was thwarted by a group of Etherians before Ensign Alexander Munro defeated him. The Vohrsoth claimed that they would return from this defeat. The station was then destroyed by Voyager. (VOY video game: Elite Force)
