  • The Spiritual Israel Temple of Glenwood (S.I.T.O.G) is a church religious organization in the South Suburban area of Chicago, Illinois and is known for being one of the first churches managed and organized by young people. The congregation's home is inside of a garage in Glenwood, Illinois and is known to citizens as "The Garage Church" The Spiritual Israel Temple of Glenwood was founded and established on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 by Elder Isaiah D. Simpson, a 15 year old minister. He is one of the youngest ministers in the Chicago metropolitan area. He was in 3rd grade attending, Longwood Elementary School in Glenwood, IL. during the time he constructed the foundation of S.I.T.O.G. He gathered together all the neighborhood children and assembled them together on his porch every Sunday. The Spiritual Israel Temple of Glenwood was then said to be "One true home for the young people today". Today the Spiritual Israel Temple of Glenwood has put together a music ministry, revival plans, and looking towards getting a new building. The congregation of Israel has grown largely over the years as many members like to say, " Being led by the King of all Israel" The members of The Spiritual Israel Temple of Glenwood are referred to as Israelite. The members of S.I.T.O.G believe they are the spiritual descendants of the Hebrew patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They refer to themselves as the children of Israel and Jesus Christ as the King of All Israel. Their current head is their founding pastor, Elder Isaiah Simpson.
