| - Stella Black was the wife of Blaise Black. She was a native of the same general region of Africa as her husband, and, also like her husband, had been captured, enslaved, and sold to a plantation in French Atlantis. They did not belong to the same plantation. Stella and Blaise kept one another's company and married shortly after the French and Spanish War. They lived on Victor and Meg Radcliff's farm. They had five children, four of whom survived early childhood. This was an excellent success rate, especially compared to that with which their unfortunate friends the Radcliffs were cursed: The Radcliffs lost all three of their children in infancy.
