Although isolated in a mountain valley and far from Seressias, Asheltown defends itself capably from both mountainous monsters and boisterous brigands. Recently, a magical anomaly has made its residents increasingly superstitious and on edge. Melina Xilos Orian is the Deacon here, an old and respected Human woman who has looked after Asheltown's interests over the course of her long life. While Melina is the religious leader of Asheltown and by every means an influential citizen, Lord Lepidius holds much the majority of the town's respect and goodwill; something Melina is not unaware of. A remarkable swordsman and seasoned soldier, Marth Corvus Lepidius teaches his eight students in rigorous martial discipline and in responsibility and service to the Holy Xilosian Imperium. Having earned his name, rank, and nobility over a Human lifetime of military service, Marth returned to the town of his birth to live the rest of his days in relative peace and meaningful service to the Imperium.
