Illoran was a cousin of Hercules'. When he encountered the hero in the Parthian Province it had been five years since the two had met. Illoran told Hercules that Xena and her army were attacking the villages in the Parthian Province and he feared for his mother's life in Parthus. Hercules agreed to travel back with him to help and en route, Illoran was shot in the shoulder with an arrow by Spiros who believed that Illoran and Hercules were responsible for the destruction of his village. Illoran recovered and helped to fight off Xena's army, under the command of Darphus, in Parthus.
