Loralia was the second wife of Prince Isolder. They were married in 42 ABY, five years after the death of Isolder's first wife, Teneniel Djo. Although many Hapans believed that Loralia was involved with the assassination of Queen Mother Tenel Ka, she actually had nothing to do with it and was not even aware of the plot until after the Queen Mother's death. It was never her intent to take over as the Queen Mother, although she was not opposed to the idea; she merely wanted to further her family's influence among the Hapan noble houses, and marrying Isolder was a fast way to do that. While she was mostly a benevolent ruler, she was not a particularly strong one. Hapes suffered under her rule because of it, although this is as much the fault of the feuding nobles as it was her fault for being unable to control them. The only two people who could contest Loralia's rule, though, were Ta'a Chume, former Queen Mother and Isolder's mother, and Allana Djo, the daughter of Tenel Ka. However, Ta'a Chume could not risk another assassination so quickly after the death of Tenel Ka, especially since she had also poisoned Tenel Ka's mother and predecessor Teneniel. Allana, twelve years old when Loralia ascended to the throne, did not want to out herself as Tenel Ka's daughter and return to Hapes, preferring to live with her father on Coruscant and continuing to train at the Jedi Academy. Loralia, therefore, was not removed from the throne.
