Although hurt, Dark Pretty Cure manages to get the upper hand in the battle, and succeeds in defeating Cure MoonlightHPC01. She is later seen beside Sabaku whenever a Desert Apostle has audience with him, acting as his second-in-command. In the preview for the episode 10, Hanasaki Tsubomi and Kurumi Erika claim that Dark Pretty Cure has lost her heartHPC09, though it is unknown if this will have a deeper meaning later on.
