Her full name is properly Ibtisam al-Jamal bint Sirhan ibn Mohammed al-Khalidi ibn Aloni bint Azami al-Marwan ibn Abdullah al-Scycura... but she likes to be called Sam by her friends. She grew up in a hive made up of insect Pokemorphs, where life is dominated by political jockeying, makeshift alliances, and feuds between different factions and types of Mon. Sam's mother, a powerful figure in the hive, arranged for her to go to the PCA. Sam, hating life in the hive, agreed to go; not intending to ever return. A highly skilled and tenacious fighter, Sam wished to fight as an independent, but her abrasive personality and discipline problems prompted the PCA administration to force her to join a team. She joined and was kicked off of two teams before Rene offered her a place on the team after she saved him from a bully. Sam accepted and has remained part of Team Turquoise ever since. Sam is bisexual, something she had not realized about herself before she came to the PCA, and has fallen for Emily Mentel of Team 16. She's a great fighter, but a lackluster student. Sam also has interest in photography and works on the yearbook committee. Her likes include fighting, photography, Emily, and tormenting her team leader and good friend, Rene Vulpes. Her dislikes include academics, her mother, authority figures, and cheap clothing that her claws keep tearing.
