The Irish Intelligence Agency(also known as the IIA) is the national intelligence agency of the United Republic of Ireland. Its main objective is to help protect Ireland national security. The IIA formed on September 1st 2011 following the unification of Ireland but it was briefly called the Secret Intelligence Agency. Internal Reports suggest that the IIA have a force of around 2000. Members of the Intelligence agency train and deploy on a regular basis. They also liase with other National Intelligence Agency's in order to further protect the state and its interests.
