| - right|thumb Sonic Tweet ist eine digitale Anwendung, die von Sega of Japan im Rahmen von Sonic the Hedgehogs 20 Geburstag hergestellt wurde. Sie wird durch die Twitter-App abgerufen. Sonic Tweet stellt eigentlich ein Mini-Sonic-Game dar, da man mit Hilfe verschiedener Karten Sonic helfen muss, Dr. Eggman zu besiegen. Dazu muss man bestimmte Begriffe aus dem Sonic-Universum angeben und so eine von insgesamt 500 Karten kriegen. Das Spiel gibt es nur in der japanischen Sprache und endete am 31. Dezember 2011.
- right Sonic Tweet es una aplicación digital, creada por SEGA Japón, como parte de la celebración del 20 aniversario de Sonic, se accede a la aplicación a traves la popular red social Twitter, la aplicación lleva a cabo un juego en donde el jugador ayuda a Sonic the Hedgehog a derrotar al Dr. Eggman, el juego requerira que el jugador siga a "@SONIC_TWEET_JP" y autorice que pueda leer los tweets del jugador, para usar el mini-juego el usuario debia twittear "”Sonic ★ Tweet”‘ en alguna parte de su mensaje, esto haria que Sonic hiciera un "Dash" en contra de Eggman, derrotandolo y obteniendo 1 de las 500 cartas coleccionables o tradearlo por otro Dash. Las cartas son una serie de Artworks o Sprites de un total de 35 juegos diferentes de toda la saga de Sonic, la aplicación finalizo el 31 de di

A message in Japanese was left in place of the game which stated: "We have had to stop the server as it is so busy. Currently, we are investigating the failure and progressing toward recovery. To everyone we are very sorry, thank you for waiting."

| - Sonic Tweet was launched by SEGA of Japan on 5 July 2011. By 18 July, the game had crashed do to an overwhelming amount of participants. A message in Japanese was left in place of the game which stated: "We have had to stop the server as it is so busy. Currently, we are investigating the failure and progressing toward recovery. To everyone we are very sorry, thank you for waiting." The game returned on 9 August 2011. To reward returning users, every account automatically received the Sonic card from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The game has some slight changes from how it was at launch. For example, Sonic and Dr. Eggman used to pass by signs advertising Sonic Channel, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations and Sonic's 20th Anniversary. When the user clicked on the signs they would be taken to the matching website. However, when the return of the game, these signs had been removed for unknown reasons. The signs returned on 9 September, exactly one month after the game itself came back online. Sonic Tweet ended on 31 December 2011. Currently, the sprite animations have been replaced with Sonic chasing Eggman on foot and large text reading "Thank you for playing" is on the left side. Many of the features have been removed from the site leaving only the pages that show results in collection, point total and card total.
