| - The Red Star Pirates are a band of pirates whose presence is particularly strong in Hutt Space. A structured coalition of pirates under one banner, raiding an assortment of ships for cargo, the group has even involved itself in politics on the far end of Hutt Space, at the Hutt's Tail. Originally fractions of multiple groups that eventually pooled their resources and together to form one group, which prompted some violence to initiate in order to force the more stubborn groups to fall into line. Operating from the jungle moon, Iosis, in the Valleran system, plaguing trade ships and security forces. It was not until the Dug, Kramax, took control of the Red Star Raiders that they met the peak of their military might but Kramax set his eye on bigger objectives. For when word of the Black Sun's interest in becoming the primary and dominant force upon Vallera reached him, the Dug formed an alliegence with the Black Sun leader, Allen Darksaber, creating a plan to force Rukdah the Hutt from his mantle and usurp it for themselves. Providing support mostly from space though offering some ground support as well, both Rukdah and his brother's power were severely crippled. Both the Black Sun and the Red Star Raiders emerged victorious, but Darksaber decided upon taking fulll advantage of the Pirate's dependancy on the Black Sun, turned his forces against Kramax's and drove the pirates from Vallera, leaving control over the planet to the Black Sun. Cowering back to Iosis, licking their wounds after a humilating defeat, Kramax - troubled by the betrayal - left leadership of the Red Stars to his Lieutenant; Jorniel Casl. Jorniel returned the group to their original operations, however Black Sun ships grew to more frequently targetted. Growing in power from the jungle moon, Jorniel has surpassed the former peak set by his predecessor with larger supply of armaments and expanded the fleet. The ambition to achieve revenge upon the Black Sun is one of the priorities of the group. Jorniel has tried to gain advantages over the them. For when a Skipray Blastboat, belonging to one Jedi Vess Tayvers, was found to have a Hutt I.D Signature during a trial run was quickly apprehended and under the orders of Jorniel, Vess was imprisoned and tortured so that he gradually submit and be willing to serve the Red Star Raiders and act as a pawn for their conquest. This was foiled by Zayri Cresh and Vincent Cantrell, who boarded the Drofred in a rescue mission, but not before Jorniel defeated both a weakened Vess and Zayri in combat, for in a moment of confusion Vincent was able to return the Jedi to the Illustrious and escape, leaving the pirates to again recover from a sudden loss of manpower.
