Daisy Street is a street in Weatherfield that lies between the Rovers Return Inn and the bank that Alec Gilroy used in the late 1980s. Alec used the thoroughfare one morning in September 1988 to take his takings from both the pub and his club agency work - some £2,000 - to the bank but was mugged on the way. No one believed that he was taking the money for both of his businesses and suspected that he was fiddling the Rovers' books. Alec was proven to be innocent when the briefcase was returned, minus the money, but with the paying-in books for both concerns intact.
