  • The Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center, also known as Mount Weather, The Mountain, or Maunde (Trigedasleng), is a location featured in the second and third seasons. Mount Weather is a United States military underground bunker and missile silo launch facility located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the eastern United States of America on Earth. It was constructed to house senior US officials in the event of a nuclear war. The Mountain Men are descendants of the original people who took shelter there during the Nuclear Apocalypse. During Season One, it was the intended dropping point for the 100, but they were unable to travel there as the territory belonged to the Woods Clan. Mount Weather is currently inactive due to a self-destruct sequence initiated by Emerson and the Ice Nation.
  • Mount Weather Complex is a military facility located in Bluemont, Virginia. It contains a war room, including a high walkway, and a computer room, as well as numerous long corridors, crudely built into the mountainside. In 2002, Fox Mulder infiltrated the facility known as Mount Weather with an access card provided to him by the Cigarette Smoking Man. There, he learned the date of the final Alien invasion in their re-colonization of planet Earth – December 22, 2012. Mulder's unauthorized presence was noticed by super-soldier Knowle Rohrer, who attempted to kill Mulder. Mulder led Rohrer on a chase that ended when Mulder threw Rohrer from great height onto power lines. Rohrer seemingly was killed but had, in fact, survived, as his alien essence meant that he was virtually invincible, with the exception of exposure to magnetite. (TXF: "The Truth")
