According to Mr. E. Blackadder, Sir Talbot's constituency was a rotten borough, but despite his power, only ever attended the Houses of Parliament once, during which time: "he passed water in the Great Hall, and then passed out in the Speaker's Chair". His policies included "flogging servants, shooting poor people, and the extension of slavery to anyone who hasn't got a knighthood", the Prince noting that these were "sensible policies for a happier Britain". He was said to be a "violent, bigoted, mindless old fool," which Prince George placed as "a bit overqualified" for the appointment of High Court judge, which would serve as their excuse for getting him into the House of Commons.
