abstract
  • Enarius' Rebellion was a relatively small conflict that occurred between the years 2554 and 2556, pitting the brothers Enarius and Jornaeus against each other for deciding between Doisac and the Covenant. The first engagements started out rather as massacres than battles. Two cities burnt to the ground with it's entire garrison and populace killed by Jornaeus' legions. The first two years were in Jornaeus' favor, having the superiority of Covenant weapons and supplies, the Tribal Chieftain waged war against Enarius and his ally Velenus successfully, pillaging villages and killing entire legions. Toward the middle of the war, support from the Covenant began to fade. High Chieftains Gaius and Marius were routing out Covenant from Doisac and securing their borders. Covenant trade ships began to dwindle in numbers until they stopped completely. When this happened Enarius and Velenus had replenished their numbers, and pushed Jornaeus back. In the final months of the war, the Chieftain Maeridus a member of the now fractured Jornaeus Tribe was harassed by envoys from Enarius, asking Maeridus to join him. Doubting himself and believing that Jornaeus would unleash hell upon his home, he rejected the offers and closed the gates of his city to their envoys. In the last weeks of the war, in the late-2556s by human calendar standards, Maeridus took up arms with Jornaeus. With Jornaeus' capital besieged, Maeridus was unable to send word of allying with the Tribal Chieftain and instead called all his banners and took a ten-thousand strong army to Neiot. The ending result of this moved would prove fatal for most and disastrous for Maeridus' people.
