Santa Claus is a protagonist of the 1964 movie Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. A jolly old man with a full beard and a red suit, Santa Claus lived at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus and his elves. In early December Santa and his elves would spend their time preparing for the holidays, busily creating new toys. Santa felt the traditional methods of making toys were the best. Then on Christmas he would head out to deliver toys, normally entering homes through the chimneys. One time he mistook the smokestack of an ocean liner for a chimney and only realized his mistake after he started down the smokestack. It became a favorite story he liked to share with others.

Meanwhile on Mars the leader Kimar found that many of the children were very unhappy. Reaching out to the very old Chochem for answers, Kimar learned of the existence of Santa Claus and his ability to bring joy to people. Kimar and the council left for Earth to locate Santa and bring him back to Mars. Arriving on Earth the group encountered the children Billy and Better Foster and asked them where the real Santa Claus lived. After Billy said the real Santa lived at the North Pole the Martians kidnapped them to keep them from warning others. Kimar and his Martian colleagues were able to capture Santa and put him on the spaceship to go back to Mars. Santa tried to cheer up the Fosters but found it difficult to do so. On the way back Voldar tried to murder Santa and the children by ejecting them out an airlock into space, however Santa was able to use his powers so that he and the children could escape through the airlock. Voldar was arrested and placed in to custody, but he escaped and went in to hiding. Arriving on Mars, Santa promised Kimar's wife Momar that he would do what he could to bring joy to the children of Mars. Within five minutes of being introduced to Girmar and Bomar he had both children laughing. Santa set to work creating toys for the children of Mars. Despite Voldar trying to sabotage the equipment and launching an attack against him Voldar was defeated and arrested again. Kimar's servant Droppo meanwhile had become enamored of Santa and started dressing up in a red suit with a white beard. Realizing that Droppo would make a good Martian Santa Claus Kimar returned Santa and the Earth childern to their homes.
