| - Out of the Darkness is the third episode of the Bluesilver Series. It features the departure of Rose Tyler and the introduction of Jennifer Locke as the new companion.
- Out of the Darkness is the third and final book in the Legions of Fire series. It was written by Peter David, based on an outline by J. Michael Straczynski.
- One of the main events in the book is destruction of Gyorvar, the Gyongyosian capital, through the new typs of magic developed by Pekka and her fellow theoretical sorcerers - the concluding act of the Derlavaian War. This is clearly the equivalent to the dropping of the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, nowhere in the book is the equivalence made explicit to the point of having this kind of magic cause a mushroom cloud to rise above a destroyed city. The mushroom cloud on the book's cover is a free interpretation by the artist and publisher.
