- Tiger Shark (Todd Arliss) is a long-time adversary of Namor, the Sub-Mariner and several other Marvel heroes. He also fought Deadpool who was scared of him. Deadpool later learned that Tiger Shark was hired by Norman Osborn to kill him. Tiger Shark and Deadpool fought in the following comics: Deadpool (volume 3) #8

- The Tiger Shark is built using the planing-type hull form developed for racing boats. It is small (30–75 tons) and fast (35–40 knots). It was designed to strike at larger warships with torpedoes, using relatively high speed to get close, and small size to avoid being spotted and hit by gunfire. Is is much less expensive than a large warship. Tiger Sharks are much faster, smaller, and cheaper than conventional (displacement hull) vessels.
- Tiger Shark was a competitor robot that failed to qualify for Series 4 and 5 of Robot Wars. It had previously entered the Super Heavyweight Championship in Series 3 as Sharky, but the event was cancelled, and it was converted to a heavyweight for its subsequent attempts to qualify for the main series. The team also entered Series 2 with a middleweight robot called Scorpion (not related to the later heavyweight entry), which lost its only battle after catching fire and did not appear on television.
