A hundred years prior The New World Trading Co. was just getting started. Adrian Faust and Kaiser Klause were its founders, and it was believed that Faust was once a fair trader. But the power of Faust's Bai Bai no Mi caused him to lose his humanity, and shortly after he tricked his partner Klause to use his own Okuri Okuri no Mi on himself thus trapping him. Faust continued to use his Bai Bai powers to keep his youth so he could grow the Trading Company into what it is today.

Recently, the Windfall Pirates have made an enemy of the organization by releasing Kaiser Klause, Faust's former business partner. Faust trying to eliminate the thorn in his side released some villains of his own and promoted them to be his Executives in the New World Trading Co. Each had made a deal with Faust a hundred years prior, Faust knowing he would outlive their favors had his then partner Klause use his Okuri Okuri powers to preserve them until they were useful.
