Prince Makabana is a fictional character who appeared in the Hogan's Heroes episode, The Prince from the Phone Company. He was played by Ivan Dixon. Little is known about Prince Makabana's origins, besides the fact that he is from an unnamed African country. He arrives at Stalag 13 in order to make an agreement with the Germans for a submarine base in his country. After Colonel Hogan and his crew discover the plot, he is quickly kidnapped and Sergeant James Kinchloe (also played by Ivan Dixon, which explains their similar appearance) takes his place and sabotages the agreement. It is not known what happened to him afterwards, although it can be assumed that he would have to go back to his home country quickly or face the wrath of the betrayed Germans.
