Frank Bellamy was a well known artist who illustrated many comic strips of Thunderbirds in the TV Century 21 comic strips from 1965-1969. He also illustrated other Supermarionation themed strips such as Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Joe 90. Frank's work was innovative in its graphic effects and sophisticated use of colour, and in the dynamic manner in which it broke out of the then-traditional grid system.
