| - While Firefly-classes were normally unarmed the Cerberus had "Military refit". Three double laser cannon turrets mounted on the fore underside of the ship operated as "Belly Guns". Along the port and starboard side of the ship double heavy lasers, four in total, acted as defense guns. These cannons could track in all directions giving the ship a near perfect field of fire. While two smaller laser cannons mounted on ball turrets gave the ship an added defensive punch at the fore. An additional heavy laser cannon on the top of the ship was often to assault larger targets and to defend the rear. The ships heaviest punch however came from four Assault Concussion Missiles mounted on the wing pylons. Each missile was capable of crippling small capital ships. The missiles often had phrases written on them by the crew, generally directed at the Empire. The ship was on the Imperial wanted list due to not only the ships heavy armament but the crew's tendency to combat the Empire. Due to this, the ship operated out of the outer rim and its crew was wanted with a decent sized bounty on their heads. The crew was known to be Rebel sympathizers and often worked with the Alliance as a Gunship. Following the battle of Yavin the ship unofficially joined the Alliance.
