abstract
  • The Fire Lizard, also known as the Agama in the Nintendo Entertainment System and Playstation versions, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. Fire Lizards appear in the Mount Gulg, but only in the fifth basement. However, it can appear in the fourth as a guardian. It also appears in the Chaos Shrine, in the room where Marilith appears, as well as many monsters from the volcano, like the Fire Elemental. Fire Lizards can be easily distinguished from other members of the lizard family by their bright red coloration. In several places inside the volcano, the Fire Lizard guards chests and rooms. For example, the famous chest which contains the Flame Armor (guarded by a Red Dragon) is also guarded by a Fire Lizard.
