- The Ship Yard is a ship-building facility on the east shore of Karamja, built under the discreet supervision of Glough to raise a navy capable of attacking the human population of Gielinor. It is first visited by players completing The Grand Tree, and subsequently plays a role in Monkey Madness. Entering the Yard requires the player to speak the password (Ka, Lu, Min) which is obtained during The Grand Tree quest. In the yard you will find many level 28 Shipyard workers and many ships under construction. There are also some hammers lying around.
- The Ship Yard (or "Shipyard") is a type of Town Building. Only about half of the races can build a Ship Yard, including the Barbarian, Gnoll, High Elf, High Men, Nomads, Orcs, Dark Elves and Draconians. It can only be built in a town that is immediately adjacent to a Shore tile. In order to construct a Ship Yard, the town must already contain both a Shipwrights' Guild and a Sawmill. The Ship Yard's base construction cost is File:Icon Production.png .
- In the yard you will find many level 28 Shipyard workers and many ships under construction. There are also some hammers lying around. Also there is a small hut with the local G.L.O. Caranock, who plays a small part in the Monkey Madness quest and is a potential customer for hard orders in the Gnome Restaurant activity. There is also the shipyard foreman who plays part in The Grand Tree and Monkey Madness quests. A destination for a level 3 Treasure Trail coordinate clue is located just east of the hut.

For most races that can build it, the Ship Yard's primary function is to produce Galleys, which are essentially transport ships that can ferry a large number of units across oceans - and are also rather capable at combat too. The Draconians will instead produce their Air Ships here. A few of the races mentioned above will need the Ship Yard in order to unlock the Maritime Guild (giving access to the powerful Warships), and others require it for the eventual construction of the Merchants' Guild (boosting File:Icon Gold.png production by a large amount). The Ship Yard has no continuous effects of its own, but still requires an Upkeep Cost of File:Icon Gold.png per turn for its maintenance. If you're pressed for Gold, a Ship Yard can be sold back for File:Icon Gold.png .
