The website is therefore ancillary, and serves partly as an open advertisement of the group's existence and purpose, and partly as an archive for their writing. Over time, the focus of the discussion group appears to have shifted somewhat away from Forever Knight itself. The earliest versions of the site describe the discussion list as "an e-mail discussion list based (loosely) in the Forever Knight Universe". Later versions qualify this, describing the list as "based originally in the Forever Knight Universe", adding "This has become a thriving general pagan list, and we welcome new members not of the "Forever Knight" fandom," though with the caveat that there are list members who do continue to discuss the series.
